Akantor's tail comes off easily with a gunlance (Preferably Silver Rook), great sword, or long swords. It's easiest to break off Teostra's or Lunastra's tail with either a hammer, wyvern's fire from a gunlance, or bow gun with a full set of clusters, crags, and pierces.
Sorry bout akantor mate, but I would suggest first using his stuff for his bow. then you can kill him on your own like nothing

Akantor's tail only comes off when it's near death so if you do cut it's tail, you might as well finish it off.

I use full Auroros Haku with Guard inc, Guard +2 and Auto-guard (Will need gems of course), use Gun chariot if you can, dodge it's first run (Dive around it just as it's foot comes down) get your weapon out and block, poke it after it's attacks. If you end up under him, make sure to always block towards it's tail when it attacks, poke it's leg until it trips and get back to poking it's face. When it digs, put your weapon away and run like hell!! sometimes when it comes out of the ground, it will do it's tornado breath attack. NEVER block that, though it's blockable, it takes a bit of your health off too, just dodge around and attack somewhere else. You can break it's fangs, the claws on it's front paws and i'm not sure if it's 2g only, but you can break the spines on it's back too. If you need more help, note me, i can usually solo Akantor in 30 mins (20 in 2g)

Luna and Teo's horns can only be broken with a dragon elemented weapon. Chameleos too, but i dont think you need a dragon elemented weapon to cut any of their tails off.

I can't help with the lunestra issue. I usually use ranged weapons to kill them. Not the easiest but I find it safer then getting close.

Akantor is easy. You can penetrate all but his back armor with RED sharpness! Get a good hammer, overdose flashies and thats it! Pound at his head!

akantor=easy get a hammer armour with esp i used garuga mask,silver sol mail and waist,hornetaur greavesU and los soul braces gemmed for esp and HGE this way way you can keep on pounding at its face even after the first tooth brake.Yeah and cutting his tail and dieing is stupid because all you ge tis his tail xD and you get one in the rewards nearly all the time anyway so back on track,with ESP you wont need to fight different parts of his body(once you brake the first tooth his face now bounces and you are forced to fight a different area of his body) mostly use superpound to face roll into him then out of him and you're safe from all his attacks should be an easy but looong kill (i once killed him without getting hit he is pretty easy)
